You Make Me Happy Pretty Perennial Cards
The Pretty Perennials stamp set is perfect for creating beautiful blooming backgrounds! The flower images lend themselves to easy random stamping. Just pick your favorite palette of colors and go!
Background Basics—I started with a 4-1/4" x 2-1/2" piece of True Love Designer Series Paper adhered along the bottom of a Flirty Flamingo card base.
Stamped Background—I stamped the largest Pretty Perennials flower over a Basic White Stitched So Sweetly die-cut three times in Petal Pink. Next, I added in some smaller flowers in Flirty Flamingo ink. I filled in the blank spots with the branch and dots images, inked in Mint Macaron and stamped off once for a lighter look.
I stamped the first line of the Pretty Perennials sentiment directly over the images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The piece is layered onto a 3-1/4" x 4-3/8" piece of Petal Pink and tied with a White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon before being mounted onto the card front.
Sweet Sentiment—I finished the sentiment by stamping the "happy" in Memento Black ink onto Basic White scrap cardstock, fussy-cutting around it and popping it up with a gazillion Mini Dimensionals. No, sorry, there is not a die for the word, but it just takes little bit of time to cut it out and the results are fantastic! That white outlined look around words is so trendy right now!
Two Cool—For the second card, I began with a Just Jade card base and the same True Love DSP.
Floral Background—This time, the large flowers are stamped in Mint Macaron, the smaller ones in Seaside Spray and the branches in stamped-off Granny Apple Green. It's layered onto Granny Apple Green.
Finishing Touches—I added some Rhinestone Jewels that I colored with the Dark Seaside Spray Stampin' Blends Markers. Too Cool!
