You're Sublime Porthole & Sub Card
I don't feature too many whimsical cards, but this one shared by fellow demonstrator Lisa Curcio was too cute to resist! The You're Sublime stamp set features adorable line images with coordinating greetings, making it a fun and versatile set! But, the best part of this card is certainly the cool porthole window! Here's how you make it…
Background Basics—Start by stamping the Playful Backgrounds bubble texture with VersaMark ink randomly over the front of a Pacific Point card base. Next, use the Layering Circles Framelits to die-cut a hole in the front of the card using the size hole of your choice. Add a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside of the card. With the card closed, lightly mark the opening of the hole with a pencil, so you'll know where to stamp on the inside.
Porthole Window—Create the Silver Foil porthole ring with two dies from the Layering Circles Framelits: the inner is the same size as the hole you die-cut in the card front, the inner is a couple sizes larger. Use a 1/16" Handheld Punch to punch small holes around the ring. Adhere the ring to the card front with SNAIL. Cut a Window Sheet large enough to cover the hole and adhere to the inside with a Glue Dot on each of the four corners.
Inside Stamping—Stamp the You're Sublime submarine image in Black Archival Ink on the inside of the card using the pencil marks as a guide. Color in the sub with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sky & Smoky Slate markers. Punch 1/2" Circles of Pacific Point card stock to adhere to the sub, then paint them with some Wink of Stella Clear shimmer.
Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.
