I love the Zany Zoo stamped images and Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper animals for birthday cards! The whimsical characters are perfect for all ages, male or female! Check out the two birthday cards I shared during my Zany Zoo LIVE class!
Background Basics—I started by adhering a 1" x 5-1/4" piece of black & white patterned Zoo Crew DSP along the left side of a Pool Party card base. I adhered a 1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock next to the DSP. Then, I embossed a 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Pool Party cardstock with the large dots folder from the 3D Basics Embossing Folder pack, which is an Online Exclusive product. I added adhered that with SEAL Adhesive.
Sweet Sentiment—I stamped the Zany Zoo sentiment in Memento Black ink onto a Basic White Stylish Shapes die-cut square. I layered that onto a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of Basic Black, then matted it onto a 3" x 3" piece of Coastal Cabana. It's adhered to the card front with SEAL Adhesive.
Really Cool Raccoon—I stamped the Zany Zoo raccoon image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Basic White cardstock, then colored him in with Stampin' Blends Markers. I used Light Gray Granite and Light Pebble Path for the raccoon, and Fresh Freesia, Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist and Pool Party for the balloons. It's die-cut with the Zany Zoo Dies, then popped up onto the square.
Finishing Touches—I colored the Rhinestones with the Dark Basic Black Stampin' Blends Marker, then sprinkled them around the square.
Inside the Card—I added a 4" x 1/2" piece of the coordinating DSP to the bottom of a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Basic White. Then, I hand-cut a confetti-throwing dog from the Zoo Crew DSP and added him with SEAL. I do not include these DSP elements for the inside of the card in the LIVE Class Kit.
Two Cool—I created my second version as a horizontal card, layering the DSP and Flirty Flamingo strips along the bottom of a Coastal Cabana card base. This time, I embossed some Lemon Lime Twist cardstock for the top and wrapped the card front with some Lemon Lime Twist striped ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Pack.
Cool Koala—I stamped the sentiment in the bottom left corner and layered the squares the same as the first card. The koala image is fussy-cut directly from the Zoo Crew DSP, then popped up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches—I finished with Rhinestone gems colored with a Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin Blends Marker.
Inside The Card—I added a festive elephant from the Zoo Crew DSP on the inside.
