Sketched Butterflies Beautiful Birthday Card
One of these is not like the other…♪ ♫ ♪. This is the only card from my Sketched Butterflies LIVE Class that does not use Blends Markers and have coloring. I wanted to give a taste of the cool butterfly die-cuts that are part of this bundle on one project from the class. This little butterfly trio die-cut was my favorite!
Background Basics
I started by embossing a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder, then layered it onto a Granny Apple Green card base.
Next, I add a 2″ x 3-1/4″ panel of Azure Afternoon on the left side and a 3-1/2″ x 2″ Peach Pie panel over that.
The final Lemon Lime Twist panel is an Everyday Details die-cut. I layered a 3-1/4″ x 1-3/4″ piece of Basic White behind it to make the decorative dots edge really pop. It’s mounted onto the Peach Pie layer with SEAL Adhesive.
Before adding the focal point, I wrapped a strip of Iridescent Striped Trim around the card front and secured the ends with SEAL so they would be hidden under the sentiment.
Focal Point Butterflies
I die-cut the Basic White butterflies trio from the Sketched Butterflies Dies. I popped them up by using Mini Dimensionals under the butterfly bodies, cutting them in half as necessary.
Sweet Sentiment
I stamped the Sketched Butterflies greeting in Memento Black onto a 1-3/4″ x 1-1/8″ piece of Basic White, then popped it up with Dimensionals.
Finishing Touches
I added a few of Iridescent Faceted Pearls around the butterflies. Optional: add some Wink of Stella glimmer to the butterflies for extra iridescence!
