Michelle's Flourishing Phrases Watercolor Wash Card

Michelle Hoover created a pretty watercolor wash with the embossed flourish from the Flourishing Phrases set!  The emboss resist technique is one of my favorites and when it's combined with a watercolor wash…oooh, it looks fantastic!

Background Basics—Michelle's card starts with a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Shimmery White card stock.  Watercolor washes can also be done on Watercolor Paper or even traditional Whisper White paper for similar effects, but I love the way the color flows on the surface of the Shimmery White paper.  It will eventually be matted onto a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Peekaboo Peach and mounted onto a Whisper White card base.

Watercolor Wash Resist—She stamped the Flourishing Phrases flourish in VersaMark ink on the Shimmery White layer, then sprinkled on Clear Embossing Powder and heat-set it until glossy and smooth with the Heat Tool.

Next, Michelle brushed on color with an Aqua Painter. Simply squeeze the ink pad before opening to transfer some ink onto the lid, then use that as a palette. She started with the lighter Peekaboo Peach color on the top, then worked the color down.  Then, she brushed on some Flirty Flamingo color and blended the two colors together in the middle.  Beautiful!

Let the color absorb and dry a little, then use a tissue to wipe up ink residue from the embossed areas to make that image really pop!

Sweet Sentiment—Michelle stamped the Flourishing Phrases greeting in Peekaboo Peach onto a 3-1/2" x 1-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock, then used the Banner Triple Punch to fishtail the end.  She adhered it with Dimensionals onto the card front.

Flourishing Embellishments—The flowers are die-cut using the coordinating Flourish Thinlits from Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach card stocks.  They are layered and adhered with Glue Dots!

Michelle finished off the card with a Pearl Jewel in the flower center.  Such a pretty, pretty card!

Bundle It & SAVE—Save 10% off the cost of the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and Flourishing Thinlits dies separately, when you purchase the Flourishing Phrases Bundle!

Flourishing Thank You Card

Here's another Flourishing Phases thank card with cheerful colors and an easy-to-duplicate design!

Background Basics—Oksana covered the Pear Pizzazz card front with a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Peekaboo Peach 2016-2018 In Color Designer Series Paper.  Next she adhered a 4" x 3/4" piece of Silver Glimmer Paper across the middle.

Stamped Layer—She added the Flourishing Phrases greeting in Pear Pizzazz to the bottom of a 3" x 4" piece of Whisper White card stock.  She stamped the large Flourishing Phrases flower in Peekaboo Peach at the top of the layer.  Then, she added several Pear Pizzazz leaves surrounding the bloom, as well as to create a foundation for the die-cut blooms.

This layer was matted onto a 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Pear Pizzazz, then popped up with Dimensionals.

Flourishing Blooms—Oksana die-cut two flower layers in Tangerine Tango and Peekaboo Peach and adhered them to the card with Glue Dots.  She finished by adding some Rhinestone Jewels to the flower centers!  Loveliness!

Complete Supplies List—"Clear" means a rubber stamp on a clear block. "Photopolymer" is see-thru.
